l You DO NEED a passport to travel to the Dominican Republic (no exceptions, even for infants & children). However you DO NOT need any immunizations to travel to Mexico or the Dominican Republic.

l It is not recommended to drink the water from the tap. All water and ice served in the restaurants and bars is purified. Bottled water is also readily available (even use this for brushing your teeth). Please be careful if and when venturing outside of the resort.

l Most resorts do not accept cash payments, so please remember to take a credit card for excursions, etc. Also, make sure to call your credit card company before leaving to make sure they know you are going to be traveling.

l American dollars are recognized and accepted in the Dominican Republic (tips, taxis, local gift items found off property).

l It is not recommended to use traveler checks - as you are often charged a percentage to change your checks to cash.

l Most all-inclusive resorts do not have ATM machines on property & if they do it will produce local currency, not USD $.

l There is a $10 per person tourist card fee payable in cash upon arrival at the airport (USD). Hang onto your travel card that they give you on the plane as you'll need this as you go through customs. Also be sure to have your passport or other identification ready.

l Electrical outlets are the same at Dreams Resorts as they are in the U.S. You may want to bring a surge protector if you have multiple things to plug in.

l Dreams Resorts tries their best to honor room requests, adjoining rooms, etc. based on availablility. Please e-mail Aida E. Cabrera or Eileen Ostos at concierge@dreamspuntacana.com.do to make your requests about one to two weeks before your trip. Also, if you are unhappy with your room upon arrival, please tell the front desk and request a different room.

	Saona Island Combine a beautiful white catamaran, an exciting speedboat ride and the most amazing beach you've ever seen and what do you get? Saona Island! Set sail and loosen up on deck soaking up the sunshine while relaxing on the catamaran's net. Float and relax in the endless shallow turquoise waters of Saona - here you will experience perfection! Dance Merengue 'till you drop, relax in a hammock under the shade of a nearby palm tree or join a game of volleyball, go for a swim or work on your tan, truly the most versatile of excursions! Be sure to indulge in the mouth-watering barbecue lunch and refreshing cocktails that just keep coming. An exhilarating speedboat ride will take you to a natural swimming pool in the middle of the ocean. Here you can swim in the shallow waters and search for huge starfish. You can also enjoy cool drinks while dreaming away in the shallow water.
	Helicopter Flights Get an eagle's eye view of the beautiful Punta Cana coastline on an exciting Helicopter tour. Rise to an eagle's perspective and see the different landscapes that make up this beautiful island.
